Punjab University PU

University of the Punjab was established in 1882 by the then British Government. It is the oldest university of Pakistan and the fourth university which was established in the Indo-Pak subcontinent by the British Government. Punjab University is situated in Lahore while it has sub campuses in Gujranwala, Jhelum and Khanspur. Thousands of students are studying in the main campus and sub campuses of Punjab University while many colleges and higher education institutes of Punjab are affiliated with PU for the education of bachelor level to PhD level. Apart from this, PU also registered private students for different subjects of BA and MA classes. Punjab University is known as one of the best universities of Pakistan in general education which imparts education from bachelor to PhD level.
Punjab University has different schedule for different classes which are made according to their exams. The admission process in the main and sub campuses of Punjab University and other public and private institutes start before two or three months before the start of new academic year. Ads of these admissions are given in newspapers and also online so that interested candidates can take admissions in the classes and subjects of their interest in time.

Punjab University informs the students about the examination schedule through date sheets. Date sheets are issued couple of months earlier than the start of the exams and they are available at the official site of the university. Apart from that, roll number slips are issued for the students one month before the start of the exams to inform students about their roll numbers, examination venue and other important things. PU posts the roll number slips to the home addresses and related institutes of the private and regular students respectively.
After few months of the exams, Punjab University declares the results. There are lots of students studying in the university but PU takes not more than few months to announce the results of various classes. Results are available at the official site of the university while result cards are also mailed to the mentioned addresses of the regular and private students.
